With a professional career spanning eight years, Rita began her career with a cooking course in Coimbra. At a very young age, she discovered her passion for haute cuisine, where excellence and perfectionism are paramount. She says that cooking was her salvation at the age of 17, when she was very disoriented and did not know exactly what direction she wanted to take professionally.
Her professional experience includes prestigious establishments such as Vila Vita Parc, Antiqvvm and Blind, where she is currently head chef and has the opportunity to work with the experienced chef Vítor Matos. This journey has recently earned her the 'Young Chef Award' from the Michelin Guide 2024.
Rita Magro is an advocate of 'feeling, touching and provoking' with food, and for her flavour is paramount.
