Ana Fé Fernández

"Guisandera" at El Cenador del Azul (Mieres, Asturias, Spain)

Ana Fé is a member of the Guisanderas Club, and as such her cuisine pays tribute to culinary tradition in Asturias.

Born in Oviedo, Ana Fé had always been interested in cookery, and even though she studied a business course, she eventually made a profession out of it, with the assistance of mother-in-law Estrella Paradelo.

While she helped Estrella out at the Azul restaurant, Ana Fé elaborated on her culinary studies, and in 2001, she and husband José Luis and his parents opened a larger, refurbished Cenador del Azul.

With Ana Fé heading up the kitchen and José Luis running the fllor, the restaurant is now acclaimed in Mieres for its local top-quality ingredients.
