"I would like to go beyond labels, and make it an alternative for anyone wishing to enjoy sweet food", she explains.

Born in Buenos Aires (1982), Lucila Canero is a cakemaker and also a chef. She arrived in Spain in 2010 to continue her studies alongside the big names in the sweetness sector such as Raúl Bernal, Albert Roca and Takashi Ochiai.

With experience and the ability to adapt to both a bakery and a restaurant, in early 2021 she opened “La Luciérnaga”, a gluten-free vegan cake outlet selling to order (especially online), with a pick-up point in Castelldefels (Barcelona), “my dream to take my idea of cakemaking further.
