Carmen Martínez

Founder of Bodega Las Danzas (Las Mestas, Cangas del Narcea, Asturias, Spain)

After a hard working life, through inheritance and devotion, she decided to go into business in the rural environment and work on her two main passions: vines and wines.

A tireless dreamer, in 2018 she threw herself into making her own produce and setting up a new winery, with the support of her husband and her children. Bodega Las Danzas emerged in 2019, and it is here that Carmen seeks to promote and showcase the viticulture and wines of Asturias through the Cangas Protected Designation of Origin, where she is a board member.

The vineyard, where she has spent her entire life, and its single-variety cask wines such as La Media Vuelta, or younger wines (La Danza Prima), made from the local varieties "albarín blanco", "albarín negro", "verdejo negro" and "carrasquín", are the outcome of a project steeped in enthusiasm and hard work.
